Google’s Gemini AI Now Creates Cinematic Videos From Simple Prompts
Google is now offering Gemini Advanced users access to a powerful new feature: video generation via its Veo 2 model. Available to Google One AI Premium subscribers starting today, Veo 2 can transform simple text prompts—or even an image—into smooth, high-resolution animated video clips in seconds.
Designed with a deeper understanding of real-world physics and human motion, the model delivers polished eight-second, 720p MP4 videos in landscape format, showcasing lifelike scenes and rich detail from just a single sentence.

Veo 2, Google’s new video generation model, is now available to Gemini Advanced users through both web and mobile interfaces. By selecting Veo 2 from the model dropdown, users can generate cinematic video clips from simple prompts—ranging from dramatic dragon chases to whimsical dancing robots.
The tool rewards creativity with more vivid and detailed outputs the more descriptive the prompt. Access is limited to paying subscribers of the Google One AI Premium plan, and there is a monthly cap on video creation, with notifications provided as users approach the limit.

In addition to Gemini, Veo 2 is being rolled into Whisk Animate, an upgraded version of the Google Labs tool formerly known for image generation. With this update, users can now animate their image prompts, offering a dynamic new way to prototype or experiment with visual storytelling. Google describes it as a creative playground that’s ideal for quick visual ideation and content experimentation.
To make content sharing effortless, Google has built direct integration into platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts. With one tap, users can post their AI-generated clips, making Gemini and Veo 2 compelling tools for digital creators aiming to differentiate themselves with unique, AI-powered visuals.
